An agreement of cooperation between the Siam Society (under Royal Patronage), represented by the President, a senator Bilaibhan Sampatisiri, and the Polish Institute of World Art Studies, represented by professor Jerzy Malinowski.
The Siam Society, established in 1904, is the oldest and the most prestigious non-university scientific institution of Thailand and South-eastern Asia. It has got a big scientific library and an art collection; it carries out the research and safeguards the national heritage of its country. The agreement with Polish Institute of World Art Studies is the second one signed by the Siam Society with European institutions (the first one being an agreement with the Casa Asia in Barcelona)
An agreement of cooperation within the scope of art history and safeguarding of national heritage between scientific institutions of the Republic of Poland and the Russian Federation, signed by professor Viktor V. Vanslow, the Director of the Research Institute of Theory and History of Art of the Russian Academy of Arts (Научно-исследовательский институт теории и истории изобразительных искусств Российской академии художеств) in Moscow, professor Nikolai A. Khrenov, the Deputy Director of the State Institute of History of Art (Государственний институт искусcтвознания) in Moscow and professor Jerzy Malinowski, the President of the Polish Institute of World Art Studies, and dr Jerzy Grochulski, the Chairman of the Association of Polish Architects SARP.
The agreement was signed in the Lazienki Palace at the end of the first Conference of Polish and Russian Art Historians POLAND – RUSSIA: ART AND HISTORY. It opened the path to cooperation between Polish and Russian scientific institutions.
An agreement of cooperation between the Indonesian Institute of the Arts (Institut Seni Indonesia) in Surakarta and the Polish Institute of World Art Studies was signed by professor T. Slamet Suparno, S. Kar., M.S., the Rector, and professor Jerzy Malinowski, the President.
The Indonesian Institute of the Arts w Surakarta is an artistic university known worldwide, founded in 1965. It teaches traditional Indonesian art (music, theatre, wayang, dance and artistic craft).
An agreement of cooperation between the Research Institute of Theory and History of Architecture and Urban Studies of the Russian Academy of Architecture and Building (Научно-исследовательский институт теории и истории архитектуры и градостроительства, Российской академии архитектуры и строительных наук) in Moscow, represented by the Director, professor Igor A. Bondarenko, and the Polish Institute of World Art Studies, represented by the professor Jerzy Malinowski. The agreement covers: scientist exchange, organisation of joint conferences, seminars as well as architectural and historic-architectural exhibitions, projects of joint research and publications, their results, examples and reviews of research studies.
The Institute was established in 1933 is the most important architecture research centre in Russia. It has got many branches, i.a. in Petersburg, educates scientists, publishes periodicals, such as “Архитектурное наследство” [Architectural Heritage], organizes scientific conferences.
